1. Who can join NordicCosta?
Quality-focused local providers serving Nordic expats and tourists in Costa del Sol.
Clear communication, reliability and great reviews are essential.
2. How do I apply?
- Create a user account
- Fill the Apply as Provider form (link on our site)
- Once approved, we grant you posting rights so you can publish your services.
3. What can I list?
Typical categories include:
Transfers & Transport, Home & Property, Wellness & Beauty, Family & Childcare, Tours & Activities, Learning & Courses, Photography, Specialist services.
Prohibited services follow our Terms (safety, legality, licensing).
4. Which booking flows are supported?
NordicCosta supports three main booking types — choose the one that fits your service best:
🛒 Fixed-price purchase
Use this for clear, one-time services (e.g., massage, airport transfer).
→ The customer pays instantly, and funds are held safely in escrow until the service is completed.
🕒 Calendar booking (per hour / per day / per person)
Ideal for time-based or recurring appointments (e.g., cleaning, wellness, babysitting).
→ The customer selects a time and pays at booking.
→ Payment is released automatically 48 hours after the scheduled end, unless a dispute is opened.
💬 Request to Quote (RTQ)
Best for jobs that need a custom price (e.g., renovation, events, photography).
→ The customer sends a request, you discuss in chat, agree on price and proceed.
→ Payment is handled via Stripe or invoiced monthly if the job is done off-platform.
💡 For Custom or Negotiated Jobs
Here’s how to safely handle those jobs on NordicCosta:

Create one “Custom Job” listing Make one general listing for your business (e.g. Custom Agreed Service — Confirm & Pay). Keep it Closed or Draft until needed.

Agree on the price with the customer in chat Discuss the details and final price through the secure NordicCosta chat. Once agreed, update your Custom Job listing with: • The agreed price (€) • A short description (e.g. “Installation service as discussed with customer”)

Publish and share the link Publish the listing and send its link to the customer in chat. The customer can then pay safely via NordicCosta with a card through Stripe.

After payment, deliver the service Once the job is completed, mark it delivered. The payout will be released automatically after customer confirmation.

Close the listing again After the payment and delivery are complete, close the listing. You can later reuse the same listing for your next custom job — just change the price and description.

⚠️ If the payment happens outside NordicCosta
If a customer pays you directly (cash, bank transfer, etc.), please note that: • NordicCosta cannot provide payment protection or support for those cases, • and the transaction will not appear in your official records or tax reports.
💬 Always prefer NordicCosta payments for safety, transparency, and verified reviews.
💡 Tip: Fixed or calendar bookings are best when price is clear.
Use RTQ only when you need to estimate the cost first.
5. What does it cost?
NordicCosta charges a 13,5% commission on each completed transaction (excluding VAT), with a €1,5 minimum per transaction. Commision includes all payment processing and Stripe fees — no additional costs for you. No monthly fees — you pay only when you earn.
💡 Example:
If your customer pays €100, you receive about €86,5 after NordicCosta’s 13,5 % commission.
💡 Minimums and Fair Pricing Policy
To keep transactions sustainable and cover payment processing costs, NordicCosta applies:
- A minimum transaction value of €10, and
- A minimum commission of €1 per completed booking.
These limits ensure fair compensation for both the platform and providers, and help maintain service quality across all listings.
Providers are responsible for setting their prices at or above these minimums.
Listings priced below this threshold may be edited or declined by our moderation team.
6. How and when do I get paid?
All on-platform payments are processed via Stripe Connect and held in escrow until completion.
Here’s how payout timing works:
- Calendar booking: funds are released 48 h after the scheduled end time (unless a dispute is reported).
- Fixed-price service: payout is released when the buyer marks the order “received”, or automatically 14 days after delivery if they don’t respond.
- Request to Quote: if done externally, NordicCosta invoices the 13,5 % commission monthly.
Funds usually arrive in your bank within 2–5 business days after Stripe releases them.
You’ll also get a Stripe payout notification automatically.
7. RTQ / off-platform jobs — how are commissions handled?
For off-platform or quote-based deals that originate from NordicCosta (e.g., through chat or listing contact), we issue a monthly commission invoice for 13,5 % of the confirmed sale value. This is covered under our Terms → Request to Quote & External Sales.
8. Invoicing & VAT (important)
- Customers receive a Stripe receipt for card payments.
- You issue any VAT / IVA service invoice to the customer, as required by law.
- Our monthly commission invoice is issued by TS Capital & Consulting Oy (operating as NordicCosta).
- EU B2B providers (e.g., Spain): commission invoiced VAT 0 % – reverse charge.
- Finnish providers: Finnish VAT (25.5 %) applies.
9. Cancellations & No-Shows
Each provider must choose a refund policy (24h free cancellation, non-refundable, or flexible) when publishing a listing. Refunds follow the policy selected in the listing and are processed automatically through Stripe.
Always keep your calendar updated.
Communicate in the order chat — it’s your proof if a dispute arises.
10. Chat = Your Evidence Bank
All booking-related communication must stay within the NordicCosta chat.
It’s not just for messages — it’s your official record if questions or disputes occur.
Use chat to:
- Confirm details (scope, price, time, location)
- Share work updates and photos
- Record any agreed changes
⚠️ Do not move to WhatsApp or private messaging before booking – payments made outside NordicCosta are not protected.
11. Reviews & Ratings
After each completed service, the buyer can leave a verified review.
Good reviews increase your visibility and booking rate.
Why reviews matter:
- Verified reviews boost search ranking
- High ratings build long-term credibility
- Customers prefer providers with strong feedback
💡 Tip: Ask politely for a short review after each job – it strengthens your profile and attracts new clients.
12. How do I get more visibility?

13. What improves my ranking and conversion?

14. What about disputes?
Try to resolve issues directly with the customer first.
If needed, NordicCosta can mediate under our Terms.
Chat history serves as evidence.
15. What data do you collect?
We collect only what’s needed: profile info, listing data, messages, and booking info.
Payments are processed by Stripe.

16. Legal and Licensing Responsibilities
As a Provider, you are responsible for ensuring your services comply with all applicable local laws and professional requirements in Spain.
This includes holding valid business registration (autónomo, company, or equivalent), insurance, and any necessary licenses or permits for your type of service.
If your service area requires client identification (for example, car rentals or childcare), you must handle such verifications directly with the client, in line with GDPR and local data protection laws.
NordicCosta does not collect or store customer IDs, passports, or NIE numbers — the platform only facilitates payments and communication.
