For Buyers – How to Book & Pay Safely on NordicCosta

🛠️ 1. How do I book a service?
- Search by category, location, or language.
- Choose a provider that suits your needs.
- Select the date, service type, or send a request for a quote.
- Pay securely by credit/debit card via Stripe.
Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive all details by email and inside your NordicCosta account.
After the service, you can leave a verified review.
📅 2. What types of bookings are available?
NordicCosta supports three types of bookings:
- Fixed-price purchase – pay instantly for a clearly defined service (e.g. massage, airport transfer).
- Calendar booking – select your preferred date and time for appointments (e.g. cleaning, wellness).
- Request to Quote – for custom jobs or projects that need a price estimate first (e.g. renovation, event services).
💡 Tip: Always use NordicCosta’s payment system for secure escrow, verified reviews, and refund protection.
💳 3. Are payments safe?
Absolutely. All payments are processed by Stripe, one of the world’s most secure payment providers, used by companies like Amazon, Google, and Booking.com. Your card is charged at checkout, but the funds are held safely by Stripe until the service is completed.
This protects both the customer and the provider, ensuring refunds and payouts work smoothly. NordicCosta never stores or handles your card details.
Payments are held in escrow until the service is completed — this protects both you and the provider. Funds are released only after you confirm that the service was delivered, or automatically after the process time (48h–14 days depending on the service type).
💰 4. When is my card charged and when is the provider paid?
- Your card is charged immediately at checkout.
- The payment stays in secure escrow until completion.
- The provider is paid only after you confirm that the service was completed or once the automatic completion time passes.
💡 Tip: If everything went well, click “Confirm delivery” soon after the service — it speeds up the provider’s payout and helps build trust in the community.
🔁 5. Can I cancel my booking?
Yes — cancellation is possible, but the exact refund depends on the provider’s chosen cancellation policy.
Each listing clearly displays its own policy before booking.
The available refund options are:
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before start → full refund if cancelled at least 24h before.
- Non-refundable after confirmation → no refund once booking is confirmed.
- Flexible → rescheduling or partial refund can be agreed directly with the provider via the NordicCosta chat.
Always check the cancellation policy shown in the listing.
If you’re unsure, message the provider in chat before cancelling to confirm their terms.

🚫 6. What happens if the provider cancels, doesn’t show up, or there’s a problem with the service?
Each listing on NordicCosta includes its own cancellation and refund policy, chosen by the provider (e.g. flexible, 24-hour, or non-refundable). This policy applies to your order and is clearly visible before booking.
🧾 If the provider cancels or does not appear: • You are entitled to a full refund, regardless of the provider’s individual policy. • Please contact info@nordiccosta.com within 48 hours and include your booking reference. • Refunds are issued only through the same payment method used for the original booking.
💬 If you are unhappy with the service or delivery: • Contact the provider directly via the NordicCosta order chat as soon as possible. • NordicCosta is not a contracting party to the service. The provider is solely responsible for the performance, quality, and outcome of their service. • NordicCosta may mediate communication if needed but is not responsible for refunds or compensation related to service quality.
⏳ Escrow & refund timeframe • Payments are held securely in Stripe escrow until the customer confirms service completion or 14 days have passed. • After the 14-day escrow period, funds are automatically released to the provider. • Once released, refunds are no longer possible via NordicCosta, and any complaints must be resolved directly with the provider.
💬 7. What is the chat for?
The built-in chat is your direct line with the provider — and also your evidence record in case of dispute.
Use it to confirm details like time, place, and price.
Do not move to WhatsApp or private messaging before the booking is confirmed.
💡 Tip: Always keep communication in chat — it helps us protect your transaction and verify what was agreed if problems occur.
💸 8. How do refunds work?
Refunds are processed via Stripe back to your original payment method.
If approved, refunds usually appear within 5–10 business days.
If the service was never delivered or cancelled by the provider, you’re entitled to a full refund.
For late cancellations or disputes, partial refunds may apply according to our Terms.
🧾 9. Do I get a receipt or invoice?
- You automatically receive a payment receipt from Stripe.
- The service provider issues any official VAT/IVA invoice upon request.
NordicCosta acts as a facilitator and does not sell the services directly.
⭐ 10. Are reviews real?
Yes — only verified customers who have completed a booking can leave a review.
Every review is tied to a real, completed transaction.
💡 Why it matters:
Authentic reviews build trust and help you (and others) choose the best providers.
Leaving a review also supports the community and rewards professionals who deliver great service.
💵 11. Can I pay cash on the day?
Some providers may accept cash, but cash payments are not protected by NordicCosta.
There is no escrow, refund, or dispute protection for cash transactions.
For your safety, we recommend paying on the platform.
🌍 12. Which languages are supported?
You can filter providers by Languages served (e.g. English, Finnish, Swedish, Spanish) in the search results.
Each listing also shows which languages the provider speaks.
📍 13. Where do you operate?
NordicCosta currently operates in Costa del Sol and nearby areas, including:
Fuengirola, Marbella, Benalmádena, Mijas, Estepona, Torremolinos, Nerja, and surroundings.
🧰 14. Who is responsible for the service and insurance?
Each provider is an independent business responsible for their own work quality, licensing, and insurance coverage.
NordicCosta acts solely as a marketplace operator (facilitator) and is not a party to the service contract.
14.1 - Identification and Documents
In some services (for example car rentals, childcare, or other regulated activities), the provider may need to verify your identity or request certain documents such as your passport, ID card, or driving license number.
This happens only when required by local law or professional regulation.
NordicCosta never requests or stores customer identification documents.
Any document verification or ID checks are handled directly between you and the provider, in accordance with GDPR and local data protection rules.
This way, your privacy and payment security are always protected while allowing the provider to meet their legal obligations.
